Mr. Gerrish was born October 23, 1952 in Plaster Rock, New Brunswick. Following graduation from Tobique Valley High School in 1970, Mr. Gerrish obtained an undergraduate degree from St. Thomas University in 1974, followed by a law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 1977.

After being admitted to the Law Society of New Brunswick in 1977, Mr. Gerrish relocated to the Town of Sussex, New Brunswick, where he resides today, and began his law practice, focusing on property, family and estate law.

As an active member of the Town of Sussex, Mr. Gerrish is involved in many groups throughout the community including; being a long standing Director of the Princess Louise Park Show Centre Inc, a founding member of the Sussex Area Community Foundation Inc., development officer for the Town of Sussex, and was previously the Chairman for both the Royal District Planning Commission and the Sussex District Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Gerrish has also sat on the Law Society of New Brunswick Bar Council as well as the Property Law practise review committee.

He and his wife Karen Gallagher, a retired music teacher, have one daughter, Meghan.  They have spent the majority of their lives in Sussex and are devoted members of the community, dedicated to continuous improvements and development within the Town and surrounding areas.   In addition to his dedication to his law practice, being an active member of the community, and his family, Mr. Gerrish enjoys spending at the family cottage at Grand Lake, boating, gardening and landscaping.

Mr. Gerrish has been a proud member of the Law Society of New Brunswick and Canadian Bar association for in excess of 40 years.  As he continues to work diligently to provide legal guidance to clients in the Sussex area, Mr. Gerrish looks forward to continuing his contribution to the legal community.
