Josh Adams was born and raised in Kensington, PEI. He crossed the Northumberland Strait in September 2011 to pursue university studies in Fredericton New Brunswick, first obtaining a Bachelor of Arts from St Thomas University in May 2015 and a Juris Doctor from UNB in May 2017. In April 2017, Josh moved to Hampton to begin his articling year with Lutz Parish Gerrish.
It was the thrill of the courtroom that first drew Josh to the practice of law. He participated in the UNB Pro Bono Wills Project as a volunteer then as a Program Coordinator, providing low-income clients with peace of mind about the distribution of their assets. Josh was a co-founder of UNB’s Improv Comedy and the Law Society, a group which focused on bringing much-needed humour to the high-pressure law school atmosphere. In his final year at law school, Josh participated in the McKelvey Cup Trial Advocacy mock trial program in Moncton. He also provided support to his fellow students by being both a moot coach and peer mentor.
Josh sees volunteering as a way of showing his gratitude to such a vibrant, welcoming community and getting involved in a meaningful way. Since moving to Hampton, Josh has integrated himself through his volunteer efforts. He is President of Rotary Club of Hampton, a member of the Board of Directors of READ Saint John, UNB Alumni Peer Mentor, Vice Chair of the Dr VA Snow Centre Board of Directors, member of Hampton’s Economic Development and Tourism Committee. He has volunteered with the Hampton & Area Chamber of Commerce weekly 50/50 Draw, Golf Tournament, Flood Relief in May 2018, UNB Alumni Peer Mentor and Board of Directors for the Hampton Curling Club.
Josh enjoys the dynamic, varied practice of law at Lutz Parish Gerrish and looks forward to advocating on behalf of and helping clients resolve their family and criminal law issues.
